Project Volya – Medical Supplies for Ukraine

Fundraiser by Canadian Milos Pospisil:

Since Russia invaded Ukraine we’ve successfully delivered over $150,000 worth of medical supplies directly to medics on the frontlines in Ukraine. We are 100% volunteer-run. Milos Pospisil has made three trips to Ukraine since the start of the war. In 2022, we delivered supplies to frontline medics from the 130th Battalion defending Kharkiv. Last year we successfully delivered $50,000 in tactical medical supplies to the 68th Brigade on the Southern Front (near Vuhledar). We work in partnership with Sabre Training & Advisory Group (run by our founder Kevin Leach) and their team of trusted military trainers who are embedded with Ukrainian brigades across the zero line. The most commonly requested items are quality tourniquets, chest seals and hemostatic gauze

Front line medics are in constant need of basic medical supplies. We ask for your help to continue saving as many lives as possible. Thank you!

Below are photos from Milos’s 2023 summer expedition to Ukraine’s frontlines in the Vuhledar sector, Donetsk. The 68th Jaeger Brigade was nearly out of tactical medical supplies and we refilled their stock just days prior to their June counteroffensive when they successfully liberated the towns of Neskuchne, Blahodatne, Makarivka, and Staromaiorske.

Dnipro Youth Art Class

At the start of the Russian invasion, families fled and were often broken up as men left for battle and grandparents stayed behind. Schools were closed, and learning was online. Families spent many days and nights in bomb shelters.

The mental health of children was affected, and illnesses among them increased. One of our donors suggested we offer extracurricular activities for them, so this class with the talented artist Diana was established. The donor and a friend allocated donations to S.O.S. Ukraine for this project. Sadly, both donors passed away and this project may have to end unless other donors wish to designate their gifts toward it.

Isn’t it great to see the happy faces of the children? This opportunity to socialize and be creative has been a boon for them, their grateful parents, and the teacher. It’s something they look forward to each week. The first photos we received showed very somber faces on the children! It’s been gratifying to see that evolve into joy.

Many thanks to dear Raoul and Pat.
